I'm here to make the learning curve easier for you. That's my #1 goal.... Understand why you're learning your subject and it makes everything easier.... Find out the level of understanding the student has for their subject.... Explain lots of examples. And make sure they can do problems on their own.... Remind them why they're taking the class they're in.
