I've been a teacher for 9 years and I currently teach 5th grade math. I love teaching and helping students succeed. This past semester I attain 90% Approaches, 60% Meets and 29% Masters on their 5th Grade Math Semester Exam. The past two years on STAAR, my students have attained 83% passing (over 120 students tested).

I'm a patient tutor who enjoys exploring problems from multiple angles to help students truly understand any concept. I am currently a medical student taking a break and pursuing research. I am a graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Studies. I first started tutoring college chemistry and biology a few years ago at my college's Learning Center. Eventually, I branched out to tutoring challenging classes including Molecular Cell Biology and Organic Chemistry, but my favorite classes to tutor are the basic Biology and Chemistry classes because they cover fascinating foundational concepts. I am also a mom who is here to encourage education. I will explain the material thoroughly and will focus on improving your scores by using the best learning methods.

My name is Christian and I enjoy working students one-on-one and helping them reach their maximum potential. I received by Bachelors in American Literature and my minor in Creative Writing from UTEP. I then went on to teach for a couple years at Clint Early College where I taught Creative Writing. Serving students is my passion. I also hold my ESL certification from the State of Texas.

I was an integrated sciences and biology teacher for eight years in Dallas Texas. I have extensive experience in teaching middle and high school science in a lecture setting as well as in small groups or one-on-one. My goal as a science teacher is to help students develop an interest in science concepts so that they will want to learn more and be more scientifically literate. In addition, I make every effort to make science fun and interesting to students, hoping some of them would pursue a career in scientific fields. My teaching experience has given me the skills to find ways of helpings students understand concepts and develop strong study skills. I use a variety of differentiated instruction methods, including scaffolding, demonstrations, and multiple response strategies during my lessons and assignments to ensure students are actually learning the information and using their knowledge to their fullest potential. I truly believe every student has the ability to learn, and I try to inculcate in my students a pride in knowledge. In my free time, I enjoy reading, mountain biking, going to the gym, and watching movies/documentaries and sports events.

I have been teaching for 13 years. I have taught bilingual (Spanish) classes for 1st and 5th graders and AP Spanish Language and Culture. I have also worked with Varsity Tutors for seven years. I love teaching and witnessing the academic and linguistic growth students achieve when good-quality instruction is in place. I like to get to know my students and build relationships with them. As I get to know them, I look for different approaches and learning strategies to help them achieve their goals. I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a Concentration in Bilingual Education. My certifications include early childhood to 6th grade in all subjects and Spanish from beginner to advanced. I hold a Texas Principal Certification from Angelo State University. I was named LULAC Chapter Bilingual Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year, Campus Teacher of the Year for 2019-2020, and Campus Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. In 2023, I was awarded the recognition of Master Teacher by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). I have participated in decision-making committees in collaboration with TEA to help develop appropriate testing materials for students. In my free time, I love reading, cooking, jogging, and, most importantly, spending time with my family. I am married, and have two children.

Hello! I am a student at the University of Texas at El Paso working towards my BS in Physics. Throughout the week if I am not studying I am in class as a teaching assistant. As a teaching assistant for 2 years, I have improved my ability to help students in need of tutoring in subjects that I am proficient in. Those subjects include math and physics up to a college level. One of my favorite things to experience as a tutor is watching the progress a student makes, and the accomplishment they feel after understanding a concept they were struggling with.

I graduated from South Texas College where I received my Associates Degree in Spanish. I have also received another certification of Medical Administrative Technology. I have been working with students at a school district. Helping with non-speaking English students and students learning to read in write in Spanish. As well in any other subject like for example in math. In my experience helping the students is fun we are always learning different ways to learn. I've gotten to work with a big and one on one. Hello! I am currently a university student studying biomedical sciences, and I plan to one day be a pharmacist! I have experience tutoring students of all grade levels, from 2nd grade to 12th grade in math, science, and English! I am an IB Diploma Recipient, and have tutored students in those subjects as well-such as IB Chemistry, Biology, History, Math(Applications and Interpretations), and English. I believe tutoring is very important to making sure students are successful.
