I'm a proud Old Ag (class of 2011) and recent University of Texas Grad. I received my BA from Texas A&M in International Affairs and Spanish and my MA in Journalism. Most recently, I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate Journalism classes. I worked with students on their writing and multi-media skills. I have also taught adult ESL classes. However, my interest in education and teaching developed much earlier. My mom has been a teacher since I was a child, she and her co-worker friends taught me the importance constantly learning and growing. I am passionate about art, writing, foreign languages and history. My favorite subject area is Spanish. I am incredibly proud of my mastery of the language. I would love to help other students realize that they are capable of doing the same.

I recently graduate from Texas A&M University with a BS in Psychology. I am passionate about each and every subject that I teach. I am a graduate of Texas A and M University - College Station with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Early Childhood-6th) and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have over 8 years of experience working with children through substitute teaching, working in extended day, tutoring, student teaching and now having a classroom of my own.My favorite subject to tutor is math. I have always loved the ability to determine an exact answer in math, yet finding different approaches and ways to get to that answer. I am a large proponent of finding strategies that work best for YOU. I therefore love to incorporate my students' interests and preferences when learning. I enjoy singing, dancing and incorporating hand movements to act as mnemonic devices to help with memory. As a visual/kinesthetic learner, I always strive to differentiate my teaching to meet the needs of my students because I know I always needed a different approach when learning in school myself. Hello everyone, I go by Ese for short. Ever since I started going to school, mathematics has been my favorite subject. I have a deeper understanding for the subject that i would like to share with anyone who would want to learn. I have tutored family members and non relatives and have helped the students understand math better. I am patient, relate-able and approachable when teaching math. Overall, I would like to make any student's math life easier.

I am a current student majoring in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University at College Station. Despite my current path, English and writing are my true passions, and I take any opportunity to help others improve those skills, including Spanish-speaking students as well. I believe that education, especially literary analysis and writing, are essential to develop the critical thinking of all students. I am a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and Texas A&M University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in Math Education. I received my Masters degree in Education Administration. My favorite subject to teach is math. I love teaching students different strategies in math. Some students will love math; while other students may be indifferent. Hi Ya'll,Thank you for reviewing my profile and personal statement. Below is a quick timeline and outline of my subject and teaching experience as well as my teaching philosophy.In 2011 I was awarded a undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. I had pursed Biomedical Engineering out of my love from mathematics and the science and their fusion together. This degree required I learn Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Physiology and various applied Engineering courses that required an understanding of how these fields worked and could be contextualized together. While an undergraduate student I became a Michal E. DeBakey Scholar and worked for a lab that was mathematically modeling the cardiovascular system. I was put in charge of leading my own research team, which required me to teach and aid other students. I began to realize that while I loved science I also greatly loved teaching and seeing fellow students overcome their fear of any subject.This lead me to teaching high school Biology through the Texas Teaching Fellows program at Stony Point High School in Round Rock, TX. I saw a lot of my at-risk and even pre-AP students struggling with phobias of science or math. It was truly rewarding to find what it would take to see that student achieve. This experience confirmed my love teaching and helping any student overcome their fear of a subject material. It also helped me realize how much I missed music, which had always been a passion of mine.These experiences lead me to the University of Texas at Arlington where I am currently pursing a second undergraduate degree in Music Composition and Music Education.I am passionate about learning and teaching. I believe that every student is able and can over come any learned helplessness or fear of a subject if it is broken down and explained in manner specific to that students??? learning and communication style. I see my self as a facilitator and seek to help students become independent and successful life long learners.

Hi, I am finishing my senior year at Texas A&M at College Station with a degree in biomedical science. My plans are to go to medical school and eventually become a doctor. I believe there is an interpersonal relationship that develops between a tutor and his student that is much harder to achieve in a school setting. I believe the potential for learning in a one on one environment far surpasses a classroom setting because of the mentor relationship that forms between a tutor and his student. In high school, I was in the position of a student that needed academic help but could not find it in the classroom. It was after a family friend that was also a tutor devoted their time and energy to helping me succeed that I was able to truly learn. He is still my close friend to this day and I hope to emulate his impact to me onto my future students.

I am a Texas certified teacher with 5 years of teaching experience and 11 years of tutoring experience.
