As a dedicated educator with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Angelo State University and a Bachelor's in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma, I have experience educating students in subjects related to and/or including Anatomy and Physiology and preparing for the GRE and NPTE. My teaching philosophy emphasizes creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, where students feel empowered to ask questions and connect with the material. I tailor my approach to meet the unique learning needs of each student, fostering a sense of individual growth and academic confidence. Witnessing my students' success is incredibly rewarding and reinforces my commitment to education. In my free time, I enjoy staying active at the gym individually as well as with my family, which allows me to incorporate real-world applications into my lessons and inspire my students further.

I am a graduate of Angelo State University, where I double-majored in English and Psychology for my Bachelor's degree and went on to complete a Master's degree in English. I began tutoring in 2018 and quickly discovered a love for helping students build confidence in their writing skills. Since then, I have tutored students individually and in the classroom setting as an embedded tutor, and I have taught college English composition as well. I believe the ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in writing is a necessary skill, and I focus on each student's individual needs to help them attain that skill. Out of all the types of academic writing, my favorite thing to help students understand is how to write an effective argument and understand the rhetorical appeals. It is my opinion that every student is capable of being an excellent writer if given the appropriate resources and help. In addition to writing, I am also passionate about the study of literature, specifically British literature.

Teaching has always been a dream of mine and I thoroughly enjoy my time spent in the classroom. However, being a military spouse has its limitations and I want to be able to help students regardless of my physical address and employment. I have worked with students professionally for the last three years and as a private tutor for over five years. I attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. I currently have a bachelor's of mathematics with a minor in physics. I will soon begin working towards a masters degree in mathematics for higher education. I tutor all primary and secondary mathematics courses as well as a few other miscellaneous topics. My favorite subjects to tutor include algebra I & II as well as statistics and geometry, these are my strongest subjects with the most experience. My teaching and tutoring style varies with each learner, I am capable of adapting to the needs of each person. I enjoy working together towards mastery with practice problems and checkpoints. Outside of the education setting, I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and dogs.

I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology at Angelo State University in 2022. Biology was not what I envisioned getting my degree in, originally, I started out pursuing a biochemistry pathway. Going through college helped me pivot into what I am now seeking a career in: wildlife conservation. In high school, biology was my worst subject and I didn't understand how anyone understood the topic. But, having professors and worthwhile people who were passionate about the subject, helped me enthrall myself in the matter. My job isn't to hope you have the same revolutionary encompassment, rather help you better understand the subjects as my professors did me. My experience with tutoring has been plentiful but I have not gotten the opportunity to be paid for such a job until now. I will note, the times I have been put in the position were to help colleagues and/or family. The exception would be when I would tutor elementary kids with math every few weeks in high school. During college, it was made adamant that you find study partners or groups to help with the workloads. Majority of the time, I used this to brush up on knowledge or even help people in Biology, Adv. Biology, College Precal, and/or Trig. Outside of that, my 13 year old sister has found a yearning for science as well and I have helped her in her studies. Help me to help you! I see tutoring as supplemental help, or an extra push. Of course, in younger development this may not be the case as kids need more help, which I am always up for the task. If you're able to provide me with examples or explain what you have problems on any topic, I can be of better help.
