I am a retired teacher from Texas. I have taught for 29 years in Technology, Reading, and Math. I graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelors's Degree in Business Administration specializing in Technology and I also have a Masters's Degree in Leadership and Social Studies. I love to help students who want to succeed in their studies.
I am passionate about helping others to learn. As a young adult, I worked leading young military men and women in my communications unit. I earned my Bachelor of English degree while in the service. I developed and operated a successful mobile academic learning center for deployed members who wanted to continue their education. After successfully completing my military obligation, I worked as an elementary school teacher and college instructor. I attended night school to earn my Masters in Education and Doctor of Education degrees. With these accomplishments in higher learning, I held positions at the college level as instructor, Academic Chairperson, Director of Education and Interim Dean. The job I enjoy the most is helping students learn.I have taught in traditional classrooms and online settings for more than eight years. My experience in tutoring includes groups and one on one sessions. Classes and sessions are culturally diverse. I implement lessons that will engage each learner. I am dedicated to helping each student reach their academic goal.
Hello, I'm JD. Currently, I teach middle school math and do tutoring on the side. Helping students access content no matter their skill level is something that I try to achieve in every encounter.
I have been teaching others about computers since I first learned in 1995. From MS Office products and HTML 1.0 in the early days, to networking, firewalls and assorted disciplines of cyber security for more than 27 years. My goal is to help inspire the next generation, so that when I retire...the cyber world continues on protecting data, people and property from those with malicious intent.
I have been teaching/tutoring for 18 years and have taught pre-algebra, algebra1, geometry, algebra 2, stat, advance mathematical decision making, and pre-calculus. I am now retired from teaching in the classroom; however, I miss watching the excitement of my students achieving their academic goals. Therefore, I know tutoring is the right fit for me and any student. My passion and love for math is the driving force for my decision to continue to tutor online. I look forward to experiencing our math tutoring journey together.
