About Me

I am a current Junior at Kalamazoo College ("K"), double majoring in French and English. During my time at K, I have been working at the Writing Center where I was trained as a consultant who meets with my peers to discuss papers and other works of writing. I have worked with writers at any and all stages of the writing process! When working with writers, I have so much fun brainstorming, outlining, and getting the ball rolling with their writing. Whether it's minute edits on an analytical essay or bouncing ideas off each other for expansive creating writing pieces, I love it all! I believe in a problem-posing pedagogical framework where clients and I work through challenges by collaborating with and empowering one another. That will look different for students of all ages studying all subjects. A problem-posing framework is especially important in the arts and humanities where much of the work comes from critical thinking and forming one's own thoughts and opinions on a subject.
