About Me

I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and minors in Environmental Science and Spanish. For a year after graduation I worked in a biochemical research lab where I studied various protein pathways in cancer cells. I then left to begin my Peace Corps service as a high school Math teacher in Mozambique where I learned Portuguese, in which I taught. I also taught English to a group of adults and a group of adolescents. In addition I have been a math tutor for adults working to obtain the equivalent of a high school diploma. I can tutor all levels of high school Math, (AP) Chemistry, (AP) Biology, Spanish, (AP) Language, (AP) Literature, and general reading and writing. I love teaching because I can share my love of learning, and for the sense of purpose that mentorship brings. I can help your child understand whatever they are having trouble learning because I am patient, interesting, and fun, and can explain concepts in a creative way.
