Writing, essentially, is speaking, except using your keyboard or a pen instead of your voice. You're probably a lot better at it than you think.I know what I'm talking about. I worked as a newspaper editor for more than 10 years, coaching young, 20-something reporters in the craft of journalism. Everyone I've worked with during my career --40 or 50 reporters -- has come to the task with the basics already in place. My job was not to build the engine from scratch but merely to fine-tune it.A little more about me: I'm a published book author and a newspaper reporter with about 10,000 published articles to my name and counting.
