I am very passionate in my field of study. My focus was primarily on American and World History including Middle Eastern History, Ancient Chinese History, and Irish History. I have expanded on my course work by studying abroad in Italy to learn about their history and culture. I enjoy exploring genealogy and ancestry. My other interests include reading, hiking, photography and traveling.

I am a professor at UWM, teaching graduate level courses in Translation and Interpreting Studies. I have also taught high school students in Spanish at Concordia Language Villages, and taught undergraduate students Spanish as a TA from 2003 to 2010.

I am completing my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and History at Texas Christian University. I have met the requirements for a history certification for the state of Texas in addition to my history degree, and I will also receive a broadcast certificate with my journalism degree upon graduation.
