About Me

I love knowledge and learning-- I have spent many years in school and actively pursue new knowledge all the time. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, with a major in Materials Science and Engineering. Through all my years of schooling, I have developed a deep love and understanding for science and mathematics and I enjoy passing on my experience and passion for the subjects through tutoring. I specifically tutor H.S. and AP Biology and any mathematics up to Calculus III, including elementary and middle school math. There is nothing better than teaching how to build on fundamentals and explaining concepts in different ways until it "clicks" in a student's head! Having also taken a litany of standardized tests through my life, I am also available to tutor for the SAT and ACT. I love passing on the little tips and tricks I have learned through the years, not only for the math sections but also the reading and writing portions. As an avid reader in my downtime and having done a lot of critical reading for my scientific career, I have mastered various strategies for analytical reading that I love passing on. In my free time I enjoy reading, running, knitting and crocheting, and playing video games.
