I am available to tutor middle and high school math, history and test prep. I have tutored math and history in the past and I previously taught a test prep course at a school in Hanoi, Vietnam. I have a lot of experience teaching all the need-to-know tricks to doing great on the SATS/ACTS! When I am not in school myself, I love rowing, equestrian and exploring my new city of Boston! I am a dedicated, highly motivated individual with a passion for enhancing the learning experiences of others. I have taught as a classroom teacher and as a volunteer at state and national parks for the past few years. I focus particularly on highlighting connections between various subject matter to individuals' everyday lives. After I graduated with my Masters degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2014, I moved to New Mexico to pursue a career in environmental conservation. I currently work as a supervisor for an AmeriCorps program that provides opportunities for young adults to gain skills working in the field of conservation while also receiving training for personal and professional development. I aspire to become a ranger with the National Park Service and a freelance writer.

I am a licensed physician from Florida who is currently changing careers. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and have extensive tutoring and editing experience. While a student, I became a certified writing tutor through the Critical Writing Department. Since I completed my writing requirement at the University prior to matriculating, I was the first freshman tutor to be accepted into this selective program. The tutoring program involved a preliminary peer-tutor training course prior to beginning tutoring, in order to certify that I had the appropriate background to provide professional feedback to fellow students on their literary works and projects. After graduation, I worked for a full-service learning center where I created and implemented high school lesson plans for home-schooled students, provided academic support for students ranging in ages from 8 to 20 years old, and taught group and individual standardized testing preparation classes. I have also assisted students with application essays for various undergraduate and graduate programs.

I am also available to tutor for the SAT and ACT. I love passing on the little tips and tricks I have learned through the years, not only for the math sections but also the reading and writing portions. As an avid reader in my downtime and having done a lot of critical reading for my scientific career, I have mastered various strategies for analytical reading that I love passing on.

I am a former middle school science teacher and science curriculum chair in Philadelphia. I recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master's degree in Education. In undergraduate, I graduated with honors in history and Russian language studies. I am also a Teach For America corps member alumnus. Right now I am the Learning and Development Coordinator for Impark USA. I enjoy teaching and love to work with others to overcome their academic challenges.

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in violin performance at the Juilliard School. I have tutored privately and through Chegg Tutoring, Varsity Tutors, PrepExpert, and iLearn World throughout high school and college, with most of my experience being in standardized test prep and English. The most fulfilling moments that I have with my students are when I see them applying previous lessons and skills to new challenges. I believe that a good teacher not only helps a student tackle specific, formulaic kinds of questions, but also imparts the skills necessary for adapting to the diverse intellectual challenges that life presents. My goal is always for my students to leave their sessions having learned something that will be useful for years to come, not just on the next test that they are preparing for. After all, education is a lifelong process!

I am unsure exactly what I want to study, I will likely explore Public Policy, Political Science, and Symbolic Systems. I also graduated from the University of Minnesota Talented Youth Math Program (UMTMYP) in 10th grade where I studied up through Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus. With a teacher for a mother, I have been raised appreciating and understanding the value of education. I love tutoring and have been doing it for many years. I started a tutoring program at an inner-city charter school to mentor and teach underserved students ranging from K-12. Additionally, I have worked as an independent tutor for students. I can tutor for a variety of subjects, especially standardized tests and math. As a recent high school graduate, I know the college application and testing process well and can help explain and guide in what often seems overwhelming. I have also been tutored myself, so I know the value of a great tutor and hope to provide that for others. As a tutor, I want to create an environment of learning, excitement, and joy. Outside of school, I enjoy playing tennis, longboarding, and exploring the beautiful lakes of Minnesota!

I am a rising third-year student at Trinity College Dublin, and I am working towards a degree in English Literature. I have a lot of practical test-taking and study skills to offer, particularly in high school and middle school academics and standardized testing! I am a graduate of Washington University in St Louis, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in History with minors in Humanities and Anthropology. Since graduation, I have worked as a tutor, teacher, and director of tutors at a charter public middle school in Boston. During this time I also received my Masters in Mild to Moderate Disabilities from Simmons College. I have worked extensively with students with a range of abilities, including students with specific learning disabilities, emotional impairments, dyslexia, and ADHD. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, my favorite ones are Reading, Elementary/Middle School Math, History, and Test Prep. I am a current student at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in English and minoring in journalism and art history. I am very passionate about literature, writing and history, and I love sharing my knowledge and learning new things. In the past few years, I have worked with young children learning to read and high school Latin students, and I also love working with students on improving Standardized Test results. In my spare time, I love reading, music and anything active!

I am a rising senior at Harvard College pursuing an AB in Government. Academically, I have diverse interests, including history, language, math, physics, philosophy, music, and politics. In high school, I tutored elementary, middle, and high school students in music, math, ACT and SAT prep, and Spanish. At Harvard, I spent a year as a course assistant in the math department, helping to teach introductory undergraduate calculus. Currently, I volunteer with the Leadership Institute at Harvard College (LIHC) as part of its Social Outreach Committee. This work involves teaching a weekly course called "Fundamentals of Leadership" to a class of middle school students. Overall, I have found my experiences tutoring math to be the most rewarding.
