What Are Some of the Topics a Raleigh-Durham CPA Exam Course Can Cover?
The CPA Exam is taken by those who wish to be legally certified as a public accountant. The exam is rigorous and has been specially crafted to assess whether an entry-level CPA has the necessary knowledge and skills to do the job. The exam is considered to be one of the "Three Es" (Education, Examination and Experience), and a prospective candidate must complete all three of these in order to receive their licensure to work as a CPA in the United States. All 55 jurisdictions require candidates to pass this exam before they can begin working.
The CPA Exam is comprised of four different sections, each of which will take four hours to complete. Because of the large scale of the test, test takers are given an eighteen-month window to finish all four parts of the exam. You will be tested with three different types of questions, which are multiple-choice, task-based simulations, and written communications.
The Auditing & Attestation section is comprised of seventy-two questions and nine task-based simulations. The Business Environment & Concepts section is comprised of sixty-two questions, four task-based simulations, and three written communication components. The Financial Accounting & Reporting section contains sixty-six multiple-choice questions and nine task-based simulations. The Regulation section contains seventy-six multiple choice questions and nine task-based simulations.
In order to pass the test, you must pass each of these sections with a score of 75 percent or higher.
Your Raleigh-Durham CPA Exam course instructor, who is both experienced and highly qualified, will also be likely to cover topics from subsections like Assessing Risk and Developing a Planned Response, Performing Further Procedures and Obtaining Evidence, Forming Conclusions and Reporting, Corporate Governance, and Economic Concepts and Analysis.
What Are the Benefits of Taking a Raleigh-Durham CPA Exam Class?
The CPA Exam is a very thorough test that covers a large amount of information over a long period of time. Most examinations are not structured in this fashion, and it could be highly unusual to you. You may find taking an online prep class with Varsity Tutors to be especially beneficial.
Attempting to learn all of that information on your own is a challenging task that could easily leave you feeling overwhelmed. Enrolling in a Raleigh-Durham CPA Exam class could give you the feeling that you are not alone as you prepare for the test. You may find this sense of community to be very beneficial, as everyone in the class is trying to accomplish the same goal.
For example, if you find that you are having trouble with learning a particular concept, you would have several different options to get help. You can ask your instructor during class time. Or, you could turn to your fellow classmates who might already understand the concept and ask them for some extra help. You could also request additional one-on-one time with your instructor, which can provide further insight into the area where you are struggling.
All of this can be done through our Live Learning Platform, which features a virtual whiteboard and makes it easy for you to communicate with both your instructor and the other students who are taking the class. The only thing you need to attend the class itself is your device and access to a stable internet connection.
