Hello! My name is Erin MacLeod. I have been a registered nurse in the state of Connecticut for the past three and a half years. I have been working bedside in the ICU ever since I got licensed. I remember what it feels like to be a nursing student, studying for the NCLEX. I always wished I had more help and someone to guide me. That is my mission when it comes to tutoring. The NCLEX, and nursing school as a whole, doesn't have to be so scary. We will crush it together! I will do whatever I can to make sure you achieve all your learning goals. Let's do this!

I specialize in helping non-native speakers correct their college papers, but would be happy to tutor other non-native speakers for any reason.I'm a new New Haven resident. My favorite foods are New Haven Pizza, Broccoli, and Coffee (not all together typically), and my hobbies include running Dungeons and Dragons, archery, reading non-fiction, and watching old movies. If you become my client, expect a wry sense of humor, a laid back but professional attitude, and plenty of patience to go over anything. Look forward to working with you!
Tutoring English to elementary school students was a meaningful experience because I was able to help young students improve their reading and writing skills while also building their confidence. I worked with students on reading comprehension, spelling, vocabulary, and sentence structure, and I learned that patience and encouragement are very important when helping children learn. Over time, I saw students become more confident in their abilities and more willing to participate and try, even when the work was difficult. This experience helped me develop strong communication, patience, and leadership skills. It also showed me how rewarding it is to help others learn and grow. Tutoring has inspired me to continue working with children in the future and has helped me grow both personally and academically.
