Do you know someone who has been in the Time Magazine? You do now. I am a lifelong learner. I completed my Bachelor of Science from Nicholls State University in 1973. I continued my education at McNeese State in LA and completed my Masters in Biology Education in 1994. I have taught in Louisiana, Colorado, and Texas. Teaching is my passion and I have taught for 35 years and attended a variety of classes throughout this time. My primary focus is science but I have interests in English and have taught this subject. I have experiences with high school and middle school students. My experiences include accelerated learners and challenged learners. I have taught face to face and virtually. I can work with one student, several students, or a class. I have a good sense of humor and I will often add it to the learning experience.

As a passionate tutor with a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Drexel University, I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for my students. My experience in tutoring high school biology has reinforced my belief that personalized guidance is crucial for academic success. I completed my post-baccaulaurate degree for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education from UW-Milwaukee. I received my Master of Arts in Education from Viterbo University. I have been a teacher for 26.5 years. I was a general education teacher for 12 years and a teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing for 14.5 years. I believe that all students can learn. I teach students age 3-21. I not only love teaching, but I love learning as well.

I am a dedicated educator who love teaching all children. I have 17 years experience teaching all modalities of children with exceptional needs from K-8th grade. I have tutored kids in grades K-10. Since graduation, I have eared a Master's degree in the area of educational technology from Walden University and obtained a certification in Orton-Gillingham reading instruction from the Institute for Mulit-Sensory Education. My passion is teaching struggling students how to read while instilling in them a love of reading. In my experience using a systematic, mulit-sensory phonics approach to teach reading has proven most successful. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and traveling with my family.

I have taught English, Literature, Writing, Psychology, and College Success courses. I love helping others to glean knowledge because I understand how valuable having it is both academically and professionally. I consider it to be both an honor and a privilege to have an opportunity to impart information as gaining knowledge/information has been key to my own growth and achievement. I have been in education for 23 years and have tutored students throughout these years. My background is teaching students with disabilities. I also work with adults teaching ESOL during the evening/night hours. I enjoy teaching students reading strategies because reading is a fundamental skill that everyone must have and many students struggle in this area. I also enjoy teaching students test taking strategies. Students have to take many test and assessments therefore they need to be taught the proper strategies to use when taking test. During my leisure time, I enjoy listening to music, nice walks in the park, reading or listening to an audio book and spending time with my family and friends.
