Varsity Tutors provides comprehensive Columbus CAPM certification training courses to help you feel more confident when you sit down to take the test. The CAPM certification, or Certified Associate in Project Management, is offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a means to help individuals prove that they have the skills required to work on projects in a professional setting. In order to qualify for the CAPM test, you must first earn a secondary degree such as a high school diploma and accumulate 1,500 hours of relevant work experience, or attend 23 hours of formal project management education. Once one of those two criteria are met, reach out to us to get a premium test prep experience.
Your Columbus CAPM certification course can cover not only all of the topics that may appear on your actual exam, but also test-taking techniques you can use to leverage the exam against itself. Some of the concepts you're likely to be tested on include the primary functions of a project manager; the relationships between project, program, portfolio, and operational management; the seven project management processes associated with the project integration management knowledge area and project cost management. Your instructor can create a learning environment where questions are encouraged, allowing you to seek assistance before a misunderstanding can snowball into a significant learning obstacle.
Likewise, your Columbus CAPM certification class can teach you test-specific strategies you can fall back on if you feel stuck. The test is comprised of 150 multiple-choice questions administered over a testing session lasting three hours, meaning that it's possible to guess the correct answer even if you aren't sure. Your instructor can show you how to eliminate obviously incorrect choices to raise the odds of a guess proving correct. There's no penalty for guessing incorrectly on the CAPM exam, so it's always in your best interest to at least attempt every item.
Every class we provide utilizes the same structure: you and your classmates meet with an expert instructor (who has been thoroughly vetted by Varsity Tutors) on our mobile-friendly Live Learning Platform. Our Live Learning Platform is essentially an online classroom with cool features such as video chat and a virtual whiteboard to provide a face-to-face study experience anywhere with a stable internet connection. If you want to attend a session from the convenience of your own home, you can do so. If you'd prefer a more serene study environment such as Grandview Heights Public Library, that works too.
Many students also feel that studying in a collaborative learning environment makes it easier to understand challenging concepts. If you're having a rough time articulating the difference between management and leadership, one of your classmates may be able to explain it in terms you can relate to. If you're the best in the class when it comes to performing scheduling calculations, teaching your peers how to do so can be a great way to reinforce your own understanding. Your instructor may also break your class into groups to simulate how groups need to come together to finish projects on-time and on-budget.
We know how busy working professionals can get, so we try to make our services as flexible as possible. We provide two- and four-week course options concurrently so that we can accommodate as many different scheduling needs as we can. New courses also launch on a monthly basis, so you never need to wait too long to get started.
