My passion is to be able to allow students to experience the STEM field without the struggle. I want them to be able to enjoy and learn about their favorite topics without hating it. I believe STEM is an amazing field filled with so many opportunities. Students only need to be handed the correct resources to be successful in it. With the correct tutoring and motivation, anyone can come to love learning!

...very important to me as a person. Communication and understanding, especially in the sciences is as important as it is sometimes difficult. Ultimately, I think that all students have their lives enriched by truly understanding the materials in all subjects, even ones that don't at first appear to be the ones that attract them. I hope that, by tutoring, I can help bring this joy to a few people who might not see it otherwise.

Being a student I understand the struggle to learn new subjects, skills, and software. This year alone I have learned two new coding languages, two new game engines, and three new art software. My philosophy is even if I may not know the problem or understand what is the solution immediately, I can work tirelessly to find the best answer.

...being part of several fandoms (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time, Kingkiller Chronicles, and several others), academic reading and history podcasting, conlanging (creating languages), camping/hiking, kayaking, Boy Scouts/Scouting, puzzle solving (blacksmith's puzzles, Rubik's solids, etc.), and playing with math. I got a message from a former client today in which she told me that I helped her son score within the top 99th percentile on SAT overall.

I cater all my lessons individually to each student, and work with the student to make sure their needs are met. I also provide notes and summaries of lessons, so that students can retain what they learn. I believe practice is the best way to learn so I always integrate practice problems into my lessons.
