My goal is for student success. This means separating the concepts from processes (problem solving / math). Helping the student to grasp the concepts is important to me. However, students have the most trouble with problem solving. With a little coaching and guidance, students are usually successful. I enjoy seeing a student's reaction when they tackle a challenging problem and are successful.

Every student is different in how they learn and how they retain knowledge. My job as a tutor is not to teach you the subject, but to show you how to learn it in your own way so that you will hold on to that knowledge for years instead of days.
