Hi! I am currently a Neuroscience Sophomore at University of Texas at Dallas with a minor in Chinese.
At UTD, I also hold two officer positions, HOSA and CometTutors!
Through CometTutors, we tutor and mentor high school/ junior high school AVID students in the Richardson area. As the School Coordinator for this nonprofit organization, I have helped set up the CometTutors program at North Junior High School this very year, as well as coordinate with the High School AVID director at JJ Pearce!
Secondly, as Fundraising Coordinator of HOSA (Health Occupations for Students of America), I have helped this organization gain money, by working a concession stand at the American Airlines Center by selling various foods and drinks. I believe my involvement in this club has helped raise enough money for future years to come! With this money, HOSA is able to attend a State/ National competitition in the US. Last year, at competition, I was able to compete with a team of 3 others in an event known as HOSA Bowl. This event consisted of both a written test and a trivia round following that. Each round testing our knowledge of health- related, Parlimentary Procedure and HOSA background terms and facts!
Although it seems like a lot of studying, it was a very fun experience meeting new people and competing with friends. Last year my team actually placed first at State and 4th at Nationals!
Outside of school and organizations, I love to rewatch The Office on Netflix as well as play for an Intramural Soccer Team with a few friends.
