I am a former 8th-grade science teacher with a Science 4-8 teaching certification and a B.A. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from Rice University. With experience teaching middle school and tutoring algebra and chemistry, I thrive on making learning engaging and accessible. I specialize in standardized test prep (SAT and ACT), middle and high school sciences, and math, using practical strategies and real-world connections to help students truly understand and retain concepts.

My teaching philosophy centers on flexibility and connection. I believe every student learns differently and deserves a personalized, supportive approach. I strive to create an encouraging space where students feel safe exploring challenging material, building both skills and confidence. As a tutor, I focus on celebrating progress, breaking down tough concepts, and helping students believe in themselves.

Outside of tutoring, you'll find me performing in musical theatre, trying out new sports (pickleball, anyone?), or getting hooked on the latest hit TV show. I bring that same energy and curiosity into every tutoring session because learning should be challenging, empowering, and at least a little bit exciting!
