Hi, I am a recent graduate from Whitman College with a degree in Economics and Psychology. I love to play soccer, climb rocks, and bake pies! I am tutoring to keep my academic skills up before going back to graduate school next year. Looking forward to working with you!

I have received my first bachelors in Psychology and during that time I was a mentor/tutor for students in various science courses. Through that experience, I found a passion for helping others learn. Upon graduation I was a volunteer for the King County Library System where I worked with children in low income areas.Afterwards, I went back to school a received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. When I am not tutoring, I work as a Nurse in the Operating Room at a Level 1 Trauma Hospital.I am excited to have joined the varsity tutors team so that I can still help students through their journey in school around my other work schedule.Other than assisting as a tutor, I love to play volleyball, basketball and ping pong. I am also a huge fan of karaoke and board games.

Through education an individual can change their life and develop skills to change the life of others. It is my goal in life to pass on my content area skills and my life experience to benefit everyone I come in contact with.

I am a dedicated honors graduate of The Art Institute of Seattle, where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts and Animation with a focus on concept art and design. Since graduation, I have discovered a fondness for teaching students the "world of art" and making the subject fun and personalized for each individual's goals. While I teach a broad range of art subjects, I am most passionate about illustration (graphic design) and animation. In my experience helping struggling students find a passion and purpose for themselves in relation to art, I always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) engaging with each individual to make the class personalized for them while still hitting the requirements and standards. By making the class personalized it gives each of my students the opportunity to see how art can be used in their life, no matter how "unrelated" it may be to their career goals. In my spare time, I enjoy testing out new technologies that can be used to enrich the art world such as augmented and/or virtual reality as well as simple hobbies like leisurely playing video games, working on passion projects, DIY for my lovely pets, and playing around with mechanical design concepts.
