I'm passionate about education because I've seen firsthand how personalized support can boost a student's confidence, deepen their understanding, and open doors to future opportunities. Every student has unique strengths, and I enjoy finding ways to connect with each learner in a way that makes the subject matter come alive for them.

With over 20 years of experience teaching English and reading at the middle school, high school, and college levels, I bring a wide range of strategies to help students succeed. I specialize in writing, literature, grammar, ACT English/Writing prep, and research-based assignments. I especially enjoy tutoring writing because it's such a powerful tool for self-expression and critical thinking, and I love helping students develop their voice while mastering structure and clarity.

My teaching style is supportive, structured, and student-centered. I aim to create a learning environment that feels safe and encouraging, while also holding students to high standards. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and tailor lessons to fit the individual's needs and learning pace.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, theater, and integrating emerging technologies like AI into the classroom. My passion for lifelong learning fuels my enthusiasm to help others learn as well.
