I have been involved in education in one way or another for more than twenty years now and am passionate about helping others grow and achieve their goals. My first experience with teaching others was in an adult high school, tutoring students seeking their high school diploma and helping adult non-readers overcome this tremendous obstacle in their lives. I left the professional arenabut not teaching--to raise and homeschool my own children. Being a homeschool mom has given me a wealth of experience teaching many subjects and seriously honed my one-on-one tutoring skills. I have been tutoring math and reading with a fabulous private school and online charter school for the past two years and am now working towards my teaching degree with Western Governors University. I am passionate about history, literature, and all things humanities (I'm a Hufflepuff, after all), but also love math and the sciences because I simply love to learn and connect with the world around me. I would love to put my experience and enthusiasm to work for you!
Undergraduate Degree: Western Governors University - Bachelor in Arts, Special Education
I have a backyard farmlet, so I spend a lot of time cooking, gardening, and taking care of my goats and chickens. I love reading, music, good movies, hiking, and spending time in nature and with my family.
