Hi! My name is Sara. I live in Bloomington, IN. I currently work at an ABA clinic that uses natural environment training and play skills to teach functional skills to early learners (younger than 6). I am fortunate that I get to play all day for "work" and enjoy applying ABA to the natural environment. As a trainer, I have been training technicians since 2016 and supervisees (BCaBA and BCBA candidates) since 2017. I want everyone to love ABA as much as I do and I want everyone to be able to apply the science to any scenario. I like to ensure that the individuals I train have mastered the foundational concepts and terms and try to coach them to apply the key terms and concepts to any scenario--be it in the clinic or in their own life! I am someone who has to practice things in order to learn them and I use a variety of visuals, different media and will create fake data and scenarios to help individuals learn and apply the concepts. I am excited to get the opportunity to help you apply those concepts too!
Undergraduate Degree: Pennsylvania State University-Main Campus - Bachelor in Arts, Women's Studies
Graduate Degree: Ball State University - Master of Arts, Applied Behavior Analysis
I am currently interested in studying for my doctorate. I am considering special education or something else that will benefit my professional life. I am interested in natural environment teaching and am planning on creating a natural environment training curriculum for ABA programming to teach functional life and leisure skills. Outside of ABA, I enjoy gardening, cooking, kayaking and riding my bike to work!
