Learning is a two way street - student and teacher. It's supposed to be an interactive, fun and a meaningful experience. I view my responsibilities to include assessing the student's needs and capabilities and then tailoring my approach accordingly.
Having traveled to 40+ countries, 3 continents and having taught English as a second language behind the Berlin Wall in communist Eastern Europe, I have learned that students are students wherever you go, capable and desirous of knowledge . I believe to my core that education is the only way to change the World for the better in the long run.
I would be honored to work as a partner with students seeking to reach their full potential through learning.
In addition to teaching, my first book Popeye - Cultural Barbarian is due out in 2018, a memoir of my travel's, adventures and travails. My life hasn't been dull and I hope to keep it that way. Go Cubs!
