I was first introduced to tutoring in junior college where I worked as a peer tutor for math and chemistry. I loved it so much that I continued in that position for two years. During that time, I attended many workshops regarding how to better help my students. Once I went to Southern Illinois University, I worked there as a Supplemental Instructor for Chemistry. While in that position, I learned to think outside of the box to help students. Some of the creative ways I have tutored include flashcard games, board races, and creating diagrams and worksheets for students who struggle to learn in a traditional setting. My next experience with students was during my graduate school work. From the first day, I was awarded a teaching assistantship. This meant that I taught freshmen general chemistry and senior level instrumentation. I loved this position.
So now I am here to help you in your struggles with math and chemistry. Whether you just have to get through the course or want a full understanding, I can guide you through it.
