I am currently getting my bachelors at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I first discovered my innate passion for tutoring through my first job experience at Kumon: After School Math and Reading Program. This program provided me a platform to develop my tutoring skills with students of different age groups an varied background. I got a chance to work with students from ages five to high school. This opportunity also encouraged me to take on other private tutoring options. I tutored a 6th grade student on math and other skills. I have further developed this skills by tutoring many of my friends in college in math, exam prep, chemistry, biology, psychology and other subjects. All these experiences have allowed me to think of concept in new ways and create creative ways to understand them. As a tutor I hope to share some of my strategies for learning and help the student master each topic. Outside of academia, I love dancing and I am classically trained in a dance form called bharatnatyam. I also enjoy singing, traveling and reading.
