Since I was very young I have loved learning and have been fascinated by the cosmos. My interests in mathematics, physics, and astronomy have been crucial in my excellent performance on standardized tests as well as my broad undergraduate physics experience. It is my interests that keep me motivated, so I believe that it is important to make problems interesting or relevant to students, even if they do not consider themselves 'math people.' It may come as a surprise, then, that my undergraduate major was in guitar performance! I value the humanities as well, and it is my experience as a guitar student and instructor that makes my approach to tutoring unique and valuable to students. Furthermore, my diverse interests extend to philosophy and history of science, ecology, and even video games! This diversity allows me to draw useful analogies for the student while building an understanding of a given problem from the ground up. My goal is simple: to continue this building process until the student's stated goal is achieved!
