This was my last session with the student, so we focused on preparing her for her final exam tomorrow. Specifically, we reviewed long division, synthetic division, complex numbers, the quadratic equation, and parabolas (finding min/max, line of symmetry, and y-intercept). I assisted the student with his algebra homework, which consisted of solving for variables in addition and subtraction equations with negative and positive numbers. He did quite well after I showed him how to solve the problems. After this, we talked about sequences and other mathematical topics such as geometric representations of algebraic concepts.

Today we went over evaluating expressions and solving equations. It was more of a review for the student because she learned this previously. She was excited and happy she was able to work on problems and find their answers quickly. I left her with about 7-8 homework problems per section we went over. This session went really well!
