I am a Business Management professional raised by educators who instilled in me a love for learning. My education includes three college degrees, two bachelor's and one master's degree, from different universities. I graduated with honors in Speech Pathology/Audiology and in Business Administration. I also have a Masters in Business (MBA) with a financial background. Having been in management, I always enjoyed training others. I have work experience in corporate finance and government financial leadership positions. My previous teaching and leadership experience is why I am tutoring students from elementary school to graduate school. All students need help. I will do my best to work with you to be better prepared and successful. While pursuing my degrees, I led our study groups to the successful completion of many projects. Also, I taught discipleship classes at my church, which was very fulfilling. I am a US citizen and will help you learn elementary math, algebra, how to speak and write, spell, read, study the English language when needed. Enhancing cognitive skills, working on time management, organizational skills and MS Office with Excel are important for succeeding in work life. I will teach you how to study and learn the educational skills needed. We will review financial topics and other subjects by coaching you in a fun and interesting way. I have used Microsoft Office software applications that are used in many business environments. I hope you also grow your skills in many areas including English reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and punctuation. I have a flexible schedule and am available to answer questions. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

Hello! My name is Erin, I am a licensed teacher from central Ohio. I am licensed to teach 4th - 9th grade language arts and social studies, as well as K-12 special education, mild-moderate needs. I currently am an intervention specialist teaching 7th grade inclusion language arts.I have always been passionate about education and have known that I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I have had the amazing opportunity to be involved with education-oriented jobs since I was 14 years old and teaching music theory at the studio where I was a student myself! While in college, I was a writing tutor for undergrad and graduate students for 7 of my 8 total semesters. I've had the great honor of working with students aged 2 - 75 years old!I am looking forward to working with you and helping you reach your educational and academic goals. I believe that with love and support, we are all capable of success!Personal note for long term students: My husband and I are expecting our first child this November! I will be taking a brief break from tutoring around her due date (11/19/2022), but will return to tutoring as soon as possible.
There is nothing more rewarding than watching "the light bulb come on" after a student finally gets it! You almost want to do a dance to celebrate. As a teacher, I find the best method of teaching includes finding out what each student's learning style is - and every student has one. Once that key is found, learning becomes adventurous - and even enjoyable :) Though I have successfully helped students in many traditional K - 12 classrooms from Ohio to the Carolinas, I find that tutoring presents the best opportunity to discover just what it is that will help each student learn.I became a teacher because of a teacher in my own life who exemplified the personal responsibility and duty it takes to be effective in the lives of students. I went on to receive two bachelor's degrees, one from The Ohio State University in History (my favorite subject), and one from Calvary Chapel Bible College in Theology and Biblical Studies (my other favorite subject). I received my State Licensure to teach from Ohio Dominican College, and even continued on to study Hebrew at the Master's level from Ashland Theological Seminary. (Hopefully I will finish that one day!) I have studied many different foreign languages because I enjoy English so much. It is my favorite subject to tutor. Along with math. And history. And reading. And how can I forget Bible? And biology. And...well, you see the picture. I really, really, really was born to teach! I look forward to meeting you and your son and/or daughter soon!
I have an Associate of Arts from Columbus State and an Integrated Social Studies degree from Ohio Dominican University. My experience is with suburban high school students. For the past several years I have been volunteering at a food pantry and teaching the student volunteers from around the community how best to work in that environment. I am sure students have apprehensions about learning but it is my job to make the process as easy as possible by identifying how a student learns and applying that to traditional lessons. My favorite subjects are Social Studies and History as I have taught them briefly in the classroom. Writing papers is also a specialty of mine and was lucky enough to have some wisdom of great teachers to pass on in that respect. I really think learning beyond academia or education is incredibly important to human development and I hope to be able to make it easier on anyone who needs my help.
I has been in the industry of helping people for 30 years mainly with their credit and their personal financial goals. Since that time I have tutored several nieces and nephews and found it very rewarding. It was so rewarding I decided to go into this field with my credentials it was no problem and I find it an excellent fit.
I am a recent graduate of Ohio Dominican University. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Economics. While attending ODU, I worked part-time as a math tutor with the academic resource center. I tutored all four years in the subjects of algebra, statistics, pre-calculus, and calculus 1. I really enjoyed working with students and adult learners and it was a worthwhile experience. In the process, I was able to meet the requirements for CRLA Advanced Certified Tutor, Level 2. My tutoring style revolves around the use of socratic questioning, in which I push the student toward the right answer without giving the answer away. I believe this is the proper way to ensure a better understanding of the subject material.
