I have spent my entire life with the love of learning and I look forward to passing that onto others. I received my undergrad degree at Ashland University in Family and Consumer Science Education. I taught for four years at the number one top public high school in Ohio - Wyoming High School. During that time, I completed my graduate work in School Counseling at Xavier University. I have worked for previous tutoring companies for math and language arts and have also taught ACT test prep courses. I currently work as a middle school counselor. Between my background in education and counseling, I am able to get to know a student and teach them in a way that suits their learning style and allows them to reach their full potential. I look forward to working with you!

I am a graduate of Ashford University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I also hold a Master's degree in Special Education. With over 10 years of experience in the field, I have worked extensively with students who have special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, speech and language delays, behavioral challenges, and learning disabilities. I've served in roles such as lead special education teacher in self-contained classrooms and as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where I supported students both academically and behaviorally. My passion for helping students, especially those with unique learning needs, comes from a deep conviction that every child has a purpose and can succeed when given the right tools, environment, and encouragement. I've witnessed firsthand how individualized instruction, patience, and genuine belief in a student's potential can bring about powerful breakthroughs. I specialize in tutoring Reading, Writing, foundational math, and functional academic skills. I also provide support with executive functioning, social-emotional learning, and behavior strategies. My favorite subject to tutor is reading because literacy opens the door to independence, communication, and lifelong learning. Helping nonverbal or struggling readers gain confidence and comprehension is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. My teaching philosophy is rooted in empathy, structure, and empowerment. I tailor each session to the student's IEP goals, learning style, and sensory needs, incorporating visual aids, hands-on activities, and positive reinforcement strategies. I believe in meeting students where they are and celebrating every step of progress, no matter how small. Outside of tutoring, I am a mother to a teenage son, a published author, and a mentor to women pursuing their purpose in life. My background in both education and coaching allows me to bring a nurturing, encouraging, and faith-rooted perspective to everything I do. Working with students with special needs isn't just a job, it's my calling. I'm committed to helping them thrive not only academically, but in confidence, communication, and life skills.
