Hi everyone! I am currently working as a Mechanical Engineer at Johnson and Johnson. I have always had a passion for math and science and truly enjoy teaching others. I take pride in finding creative ways of simplifying concepts while simultaneously engaging my learners. As cliche as it may sound, I am true believer in the motto "Learning can be fun!". I am an upcoming junior at Case Western Reserve University, currently pursuing a B.S. in biology with minors in psychology and chemistry. I enjoy being a camp counselor for the science camps at the Great Lakes Science Center, and more recently was an undergraduate teaching assistant for BIOL 215: Cells and Proteins. As a TA, I mainly worked with students who struggled with the class, but I greatly enjoyed helping students regardless of their skill level. As a biology major, with a particular interest in microbiology, I enjoy tutoring biology the most. However, I am happy to help with any subject that I'm knowledgeable in, especially writing. I have always had a passion for education, and am considering teaching at the college level someday. I believe that taking an individual's learning style into consideration is essential and very helpful to those who have not tried learning in their ideal way before. Outside of college work, I walk dogs part time, go on nature walks, and take care of the numerous furry and scaly creatures I have at home.

I'm a recent graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a B.A. in Biology and Cognitive Science, as well as a minor in French. I'm interested in going back to school for either environmental studies or law, but I still have some deciding to do in that regard! My tutoring experience has been varied, from helping peers with homework, assisting my young nephews and nieces with their reading and writing, to mentoring the younger students at the dance studio I used to attend. These are just some of the ways that I've learned to tutor. My favorite things to tutor are writing and algebra. Both are things that can appear complicated and difficult, but often there is only one stumbling block that a student is having a problem with. Once you isolate the issue, everything becomes simple! My tutoring style is to talk and work through a lot of practice problems together. When the student feels comfortable tackling some practice problems on their own, I know they've mastered the concept. I'm also a great listener; if you tell me that you are having a problem in a certain area of a subject, I can very much tailor the lesson and practice problems to the target area. Outside of school, I spend a lot of my time submerged in water! I love windsurfing, scuba diving, and going to the beach. I'm also a huge, huge fan of snow! I ski every chance I get, and lately I've been getting into snowboarding! When I'm just relaxing, I enjoy a good book, a hot mug of tea, and fuzzy blankets.

I am a chemical and environmental engineer of long experience who has a knack for explaining science and math concepts in ways that students can understand, helping them to get the concepts. I also help students with their homework in all those areas. While my strong suit is math and science, I can also help explain concepts in English, writing, history, and social studies, as well as edit/proofread papers as needed.

I graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2013 with a degree in Polymer Science Engineering with Biomaterials track. I have always have been passionate about biology, chemistry and math, which led me to study my major in college. I also love running, doing yoga and walking my dog. Helping students in such science subjects and math will allow me to demonstrate my strong academic performance as well as share my passion with students. Through working with students, I have learned that reviewing problems step-by-step and understanding the core fundamentals of the problems are some of the most effective ways to be engaged in different content materials. I believe that patience is one of the key features as a tutor in order to encourage the students to follow through their work and expand their knowledge in certain subjects.

I am always looking to help students figure things out and grow as learners. I help students engage with difficult and confusing concepts by linking them to real-life situations. By making problems relatable for students, it allows them to grasp a greater understanding of the content and puts them on the path to success. I have over two years of tutoring and teaching experience at Case Western Reserve University. I served as a Supplemental Instructor for ENGR 145 (Chemistry of Materials), where I created worksheets, led review sessions, and helped students develop strong conceptual foundations. I later worked as a Teaching Assistant for ENGR 210 (Circuits and Instrumentation), grading assignments and assisting students with hands-on circuit building and lab work. As a Biomedical Engineering major on the pre-med track, I specialize in tutoring pre-health and engineering courses, including General and Physical Chemistry, Math, Biology, Physics, and Anatomy and Physiology. I also provide MCAT preparation in the B/B, C/P, and P/S sections. My teaching approach focuses on clear explanations, active problem-solving, and adapting to each student's learning style. I strive to make challenging material approachable while helping students build confidence and independent learning skills.

I am a double major in Physics and Astronomy at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. I enjoy teaching mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The specific classes I will tutor in include Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Precalculus, AP Precalculus AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Physics, AP Physics II, and AP Physics C. I am passionate about teaching students math and science concepts. I believe that these subjects are not just empty computations, but that they can be understood on a deeper level, and related to the real world of history and geography (which I also enjoy). This approach also develops real world skills for students, such as estimation and mental math abilities. I have experience teaching in a variety of settings, including 1-on-1 tutoring, small and large group presentations, and discussions. I believe in personalizing the tutoring experience to the needs of the student, as I know, students of many different backgrounds have different needs and understanding levels. I have long been interested in academic fields, as demonstrated by being the youngest active member of the Lake County Astronomical Society, where I attend presentations given by researchers on their work and present to groups of young students. I also participate in Scholastic Bowl and similar academic competitions. At university, I am also a member of a team that builds and competes off-road race cars. I think my best ability to make a connection with my students is my wide variety of interests. We can always find a shared topic that can be a stepping off point for explaining the hard topics. I have always loved history and geography alongside math and science. Outside of academics, I enjoy watching sports like NFL and F1 racing, reading, and playing the piano.

I'm entering my senior year at Case Western Reserve University. I'm happy to provide tutoring services for those interested in improving their academic performance or exam preparation. The subjects which I am most proficient include SAT Math, Algebra 1 , Algebra 2, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry.

I am an attorney and CPA with years of business experience. During the past few years I have been forming and organizing new business entities and teaching the new business owners and their employees the basics in accounting and other record keeping requirements and tax compliance. I have the desire and the ability to teach and am motivated to help a student reach their education goals by utilizing my accounting, tax, legal and business skills and background. I view accounting, law, and taxation as languages that need to be learned to effectively communicate and grow in today's business world. I can remember what it was like not to be able to speak or understand these languages and I am particularly skilled at helping a new or struggling student who is confused or lost in the learning process to understand the basic rules and protocols of these languages and become skilled in communicating with them.

I am currently working towards a BS in Music Education at Case Western Reserve University. In the past I have worked with middle school orchestra students at an arts summer camp, where I was a volunteer Teacher's Assistant. During this camp I ran sectionals with small groups of students and sat in with the violinists to help individual students in large group rehearsals. I have some tutoring and organization experience by working with my high school's chapter of the California Scholarship Federation, where we offered free tutoring to other high school students. I am most passionate about tutoring algebra and pre-calculus, because I really enjoy the problem-solving aspects of math. I also tutor English and SAT prep. In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, and practicing as many different instruments as I can get my hands on!
