My interest in tutoring dates back to when I started studying all the Science and Math classes. Due to my interest in math, I have always been attracted and blessed with opportunities to be a part of several clubs and groups of students, and I have been able to lead a few where I brushed up my skills by sharing my knowledge about science and math. As of now, academically my grades have allowed me to be part of several National Honors Organizations like PTK. My goal as a tutor is to push myself and the learners until they realize that they can do what they think they can not. I try my best to use different ways of approach and different analogies to a single problem unless the concept is clear because, I believe in concept rather than just memorizing and getting good marks. I believe learners would enjoy my company and trust me as I guide them towards success in the subject! I hope to be privileged to see you soon.

I am currently at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a bachelor degree in petroleum engineering. Since January 2016, I have been tutoring Math and Physics at my current college. These two subjects are my favorites because I am proficient. My tutoring style consists in having my students complete some practice problems that encompass the concepts they do not understand in order to identify their needs and help them master what could not before. My interests outside of academia consist in playing soccer and swimming. Also, I like to watch documentaries and movies, to read books, and to go for a walk in my neighborhood.
I am an educator and skilled professional. Throughout my career I have been acknowledged for my ability to lead and work with people; especially with diverse groups of people from different backgrounds. I have taken responsibility for outcomes and shared interests to achieve stated goals, encouraging and empowering people to make meaningful contributions to developing and enhancing new and existing skills. Besides strong people skills, I am also a good organizer and I enjoy the methodology, framework and structure of educational leadership. My planning skills include 'the big picture' strategic thinking and detailed 'step by step' processes required to implement, test and transition the requirements and solution of the desired learning outcomes and demonstrate mastery. As a professional, I make every effort to understand the learner's needs and fulfilling their goals. I like the challenges associated with individual and group dynamics. To focus on achieving goals with thoughtful analysis and judgment. I believe it is important to focus on dynamic processes and performance outcomes and lead learners to remain result driven and delivery focused while maintaining flexibility to accommodate unforeseen changes. In conclusion, I work best in an environment working with people utilizing my skills, knowledge and education and management experience. Where there is a strong strategic focus; where there is a clear vision of the goals; where teamwork is encouraged; where all relevant parties are involved in the decision making process; where there is a strong learning results focus, and determination to succeed; and people are acknowledge for achieving results.
With over 16 years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography, I bring a deep passion for the field and a strong commitment to student success. I graduated in 2009 from Cuyahoga Community College and am credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in multiple specialties, including OB/GYN, Abdomen (RDMS), Vascular (RVT), and Fetal Echocardiography (RDCS-FE). My career began in general ultrasound, but I quickly found my niche in maternal-fetal medicine, where I spent several years specializing in high-risk obstetrics. In 2021, I expanded my skill set to include pediatric and fetal echocardiography, with a focus on congenital heart disease a field I currently work in and continue to learn from every day. In parallel with my clinical work, I've spent the past 15 years teaching and mentoring sonography students, residents, and fellows. I've consistently been told that I excel at breaking down complex concepts into clear, understandable lessons. My teaching philosophy is centered around simplicity and visual learning I believe that when students can see how the anatomy and pathology come together, true understanding follows. I know how overwhelming the amount of information in sonography can be, especially when preparing for ARDMS boards. Having personally taken and passed the SPI, ABD, OB/GYN, RVT, and RDCS-FE exams, I know what it takes to succeed. I focus on helping students categorize pathologies and build confidence in their ability to master the material. Sonography isn't just a career for me it's a lifelong passion. I genuinely love every specialty, but my favorite subjects to teach are OB/GYN and fetal echocardiography. It's a privilege to help the next generation of sonographers develop their skills, grow their confidence, and fall in love with this profession as I have.
I live near Cleveland, Ohio. I graduated from Cuyahoga Community College's Veterinary Technology program in 2013, passed the VTNE, and became an RVT in Ohio that summer. I earned my B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in December 2024, where I joined the Golden Key Honor Society and Mortar Board and received academic awards in Chemistry and from the College of Arts & Sciences. In 2016, I earned my Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) certification from AALAS. I've worked at CWRU's Animal Resource Center since 2013, helping with animal care, enrichment, and surgical procedures in many species, and leading hands-on and classroom training for researchers and staff. I'm passionate about veterinary technology and love helping students turn challenging topics like terminology and drug calculations into strengths that build their confidence and success.
I am very passionate about teaching students because I first fell in love with the subject Math and I love to share my passion of teaching and learning with others. I have been learning and teaching Math my whole life. As a child I use to pretend I was a teacher and teach my younger siblings Math. I have been tutoring for the past 2 years and I enjoy it and engaging with students very much. I have a Associates Degree from Cuyahoga Community College. I plan to get my Bachelor's, Masters, and PHD in Mathematics. The subjects I tutor right now is Math from Pre-K to Pre-Algebra. My favorite subject to tutor in (if you haven't already guessed) is Math. This is something I have been wanting to do my entire life. I like to tutor 1-on-1 or in a small groups. I like to get to know my students and make them feel comfortable to ask me anything on the subject of math. I like to encourage my students and make them feel like they can learn and do anything they put their minds to. Outside of academics I like to read, pray, exercise, play basketball, play golf, and hang with my family and friends. Come on, Let's have fun and learn Math together!
Hello learners and families! I am a pre-service teacher studying Middle Childhood Education in Cleveland, Ohio. As a neurodivergent learner myself, I am especially motivated to help neurodiverse students achieve academically, outside of the traditional classroom. My approach to education is to actively engage my learner, develop a collaborative relationship, set appropriate goals, encourage self-efficacy and achievement, and make this whole process of learning fun AND motivating. I can't wait to meet you! My experience as an educator is extensive. I currently tutor math and language arts at an elementary school. I also have recent experience tutoring middle schoolers and even leading an outdoor summer camp! I taught awesome 5th graders during my teaching internship, tutored newcomer ESL students in grades 1-8, and tutored teen and adult learners in a GED prep and ESL program. These professional experiences have given me opportunities to lead whole-class, small group and individual learning activities. My subject strengths are science, English literature, reading, writing, and mathematics, but I love a challenge --- and learning alongside my students --- so I can adapt to tutor many more subjects.
Teaching has always been a part of my life. One could even say it's part of the family business. Both my parents, a brother and several aunts and uncles are all in the education field -- so it certainly runs in the family.I have always valued education -- not only for how important one can be from a professional standpoint, but from a personal one as well. There are few things more satisfying than seeing a student's eyes light up when they get that 'Eureka!' moment of understanding the subject material. My primary prior education experience was working at an inner-city charter school in Cleveland, Ohio. For two years I served as a one-on-one aide for an elementary-age student with high-functioning autism. His unique abilities and the way he perceived the world required me to become very creative in my teaching methods.I can say with pride that with a lot of work and dedication from both the student and myself that he never fell behind in his classwork. Indeed he became actively engaged in the learning process. (Telling him to give the other students a chance to answer the question was a good problem to have!)While at the charter school, which was K-8, I also had ample opportunity to substitute teach every grade level, covering pretty much every subject in the Common Core curriculum. Substituting also allowed me to expand upon subjects once the material left by the teacher was completed, allowing students the opportunity to ask questions about topics and subjects that interested them.I really think if one shows a passion for learning, that passion can be passed on to a student. I know from personal experience that learning is much easier if the subject is something that one finds interesting. The trick, of course, is to make any subject or assignment interesting to the student -- and that's something I feel very strongly that I bring to the table. While my primary experience is grades K-8, I also have a high level of competence in the social sciences, as well as English/composition for high school and even college courses.
