By building this sense of accomplishment and understanding, it has always led to my students having...

...most passionate about Math and Standardized Tests. In my experience of helping struggling students to prepare for these subjects, we are able to make seemingly boring subjects interesting and find ways to show their practical importance. I particularly enjoy working on the Essay portion of the SAT and ACT because it's relatively fun and easy to master. It is rewarding to see how improvement on the essay affects other academic subjects. I hope to show...

In my previous tutoring experiences, this is what I have projected onto my tutees. It’s always netted a more successful and...

...Trigonometry. I have also helped colleagues practice for the GRE Quantitative section. I believe that the most efficient way to learn mathematics is simply to do mathematics. Practicing problems, along with understanding their solution process, is the best way to learn any subject of mathematics. This studying process will ensure that one not only knows how to approach every problem, but understand it as well. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, playing video...

Recent BSEE graduate from UCF. Looking to tutor and mentor students in mathematics and physics, especially the ones who find math a burden; it isn't....You're just not awake yet.... Those who seek a solution, shall find one.... First sessions I usually take my own mental notes and try to understand how the student understands the problem and their approach to a solution. I also assess their skill level and habits.... This question is usually not in the best interest of a tutor, but a student will have to wean off the crutch of a tutor sometime or another. However, I usually try to teach a student how he/she can overcome some of these obstacles when stuck on a problem and demonstrate troubleshooting methods.
