Before that I earned my masters in English at Wake Forest University, NC. I am passionate about poetry, writing, and the English language, and dedicated to helping others understand and achieve competence in the writing process. I have taught college-level composition courses, as well as a poetry course, and have tutored at Wake Forest University's writing center for two years, and therefore have experience in coaching students at different skill levels through many stages of the writing process, including formulating arguments, brainstorming ideas, handling grammatical issues, finding sources for research, and revising essays. I scored a 760 on the SAT English section and 780 on the Math section. I graduated cum laude (3.7 GPA) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Health Sciences from Brandeis University in May of 2023. I am now enrolled at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine as a first year dental student, one of the top dental schools in the nation with a 5% acceptance rate so I have plenty of knowledge in the sciences! I have also volunteered in the Boston area as an English tutor for ESL immigrant students, and I'm fluent in Mandarin Chinese and proficient in Spanish.I also have extensive experience with personal statement/college essay writing and revision for myself and others, especially for undergraduate and pre-health admissions.
