After graduating from college and working in a corporate office I realized that my calling in life is teaching students of all different backgrounds so they can understand tricky concepts and become independent learners.

I love teaching people and helping others understand and achieve a confidence in themselves. Most people sell themselves short and when motivated can achieve great things.... Provide the right tools, and enough confidence, and anyone can succeed.... First, become acquainted with the student's likes and dislikes. Second, find a direction the student is comfortable in going and then follow the student, providing any necessary support.

I love teaching kids of all ages, but am especially passionate about fostering a love of literature in students grades 6-8!

I have been teaching math for 24 years. I have taught everything from 5th-grade math thru Algebra III. I received my bachelors of science degree in mathematics from The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in 1998. I received my masters of science degree in educational administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2005.
