With a multilingual background and a strong academic foundationincluding a Master's in Materials Engineering and an MBA in progressI've developed a deep appreciation for cross-cultural communication and language learning.

I've had the pleasure of tutoring students in both formal and informal settings, and I specialize in teaching Basic Mandarin to beginners of all ages. I understand that Mandarin can feel challenging at firstespecially because of the tones and charactersbut my teaching style is supportive, structured, and student-centered.

For beginners, I typically start with pinyin (the Romanized spelling of Mandarin), basic sentence structures, and everyday vocabularylike greetings, numbers, and simple conversational phrases. I also use real-life examples, visuals, flashcards, and repetition techniques to reinforce memory and pronunciation. I incorporate cultural elementssuch as festivals, etiquette, and traditionsto make the learning experience more engaging and relevant.

What makes me confident in teaching Mandarin is not only my fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, but also my own experience learning and teaching across languages.
