My students say I'm the best writing professor they've ever had, and I take that as a real compliment! Part of the reason they enjoy working with me is that I try to fit my lessons to the students' needs: rather than creating activities that are one-size-fits-all, I try to keep my students' needs and skills in mind. I also believe that learning is much easier when accompanied by fun and thought provoking activities. It is possible to have fun while learning! Let's get started!

I am a graduate of the University of Kansas, where I was awarded a PhD in Russian and French literature. Since graduation, I have worked mainly as a Russian or Rhetoric instructor at a variety of schools including Dickinson College, Bowling Green State University, Westchester Community College, and UT. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Writing and Russian language and literature. I believe strongly in every human being's right to an education, and for that reason, I enjoy worked with a variety of students who have been underserved by the educational system. I believe so strongly in the importance of education, I even volunteer with a charity school, HEART in Haiti, where I help volunteers to create teaching materials for our students.
