I am a graduate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where I received my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Due to this degree being heavy on math subjects, I am able to understand complex problems which I want to break down in order for students to learn how to work those complex problems. I tutored in person for a year in a high school where students would ask me for help in various math subjects as well as the SATs and ACTs. I like to work out the problems along with the student so as to be engaging as opposed to a traditional classroom where a teacher runs through examples with the goal of finishing a lesson plan.
