Kisheon ...I love helping students appreciate its principles and the simplify its seemingly turmoil. In Mathematics, my own educational and teaching experience have afforded many concrete examples which I use to depict its abstractness. Science and technology are the basis for industry off which everything else spins, and I am supportive to students on this magnanimous journey, to improve their lives and that of others. Some of my favorite past time activities include soccer (both playing...

Alexander ...always equal 4 whether tomorrow or thousands of years into the future. There are also many different approaches to math many of which are correct, and it becomes a matter of preference to which method you like the most. I think education is the most important thing; it really serves as a mold for the rest of our lives. The better the education the better your life will be. I really enjoy helping students learn,...

Michael ...the student is confronted with a new problem. For this reason, I first ensure that the student grasps the basic concepts, and I then illustrate the concepts with a variety of examples. Learning in this way leads to a more thorough understanding of the subject and gives the student the confidence necessary to excel on exams. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball and drumming with my friends. I also love to read, watch...

At RPI I studied mathematics although I also had an interest in physics and computer science. As a tutor I look forward to helping you better understand math! The subjects I'm looking to teach include calculus, multivariate calculus, and differential equations, although I can also teach algebra for those who need it....

Anna ...and Calculus are where we first begin to see how math can help us in solving real life problems, such as calculating a car's speed or the percentage of error of a given measurement. Personality is an important part of teaching. I can't tell you how many classes that I had to “suffer” through because the teacher didn't show any excitement about what he or she was teaching. When I teach, I speak clearly and...

I enjoy tutoring Physics because it is easier to understand concepts behind Math and is most seen in everyday life. When I work with students, I look for holes in their understanding and try to fill in the concepts behind it. I strive for the student to be able to figure out problems without resorting to only memorizing formulas. In my...

Joseph I grew up in Long Island, NY where I played Football and Baseball for most of my childhood. I then went to Fordham University where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Engineering Physics. While I was a student, I helped run a coffee house, which put on concerts several times a month. After graduation in 2011, I was hired by Photonics Industries International as a Laser Engineer. I still work there today, but now as a group Manager. We produce industrial grade solid-state lasers that are used in many applications. Most notably, many of our laser systems are used to process the glass and electronics used in many Apple and Samsung cellphones and other electronics. I have a passion for mathematics and sciences and I have been tutoring others ever since I was in high school. I believe that I can make positive contributions to any student’s academic endeavors.
