I am a former teacher in Texas with 15 years of experience teaching high school mathematics from Algebra I to Pre-Calculus. I have taught students of all learning levels including ESL recent arrivals. In Texas, we are big on standardized tests! My classes consistently showed passing rates of 90% or greater and growth for each student.

I recently earned my master's degree in mathematics from Texas A&M International University. It was a humbling experience to return to the classroom as a student, especially during the pandemic. It helped me to reconnect with my students and empathize with the learner's experience.

I believe that each student can be proficient in mathematics and that knowledge will provide opportunities for advancement.
