My personal statement is simple. I am committed to helping students in there greatest areas of academic need. Everyone is different and that is actually a great thing. Some students are stronger academically in certain areas, while not so strong in a few areas. My aim as a tutor is to help them gain ground and get stronger where they are weak. In doing so, I will have been an instrumental part of building their self confidence toward the next challenge they may face academically. I want those that I tutor to feel safe and sound while they are being tutored by me. That is a very important part of learning; feeling comfortable with you instructor/teacher/tutor.
