I am a premedical student majoring in biology and psychology attending Union College in upstate New York, as part of the 8-year combined "Leadership in Medicine" program with Albany Medical College. Since as early as elementary school, math has been my favorite academic subject, and most of my tutoring experience has been in tutoring math. I enjoy math of all kinds, from algebra to geometry to higher-level mathematics like calculus and statistics, and I find the problems to be like fun mini puzzles where there are different strategies to arrive at the correct answer. I hope to use my skills and experience with math to help clarify confusing concepts and give students the tools they need to solve complex problems. Outside of math, I am also proficient in essay editing and test prep (SAT, ACT, PSAT, AP). I have worked as a college admissions essay editor for over a year and edited essays for students who were accepted to top schools like CalTech, Northwestern, and Northeastern. I would be happy to share editing samples upon request. On both the SAT and ACT exams, I scored in the 99th percentile, with a perfect score on my ACT. It would be a rewarding experience for me to play a part in helping you maximize your academic potential.

I am expecting to complete my PhD within the year. I offer tutoring for English or AP English classes, and writing assignments for any class at any level, as well as SAT, GRE and GRE Literature preparation.

I am beginning work as a management consultant in the engineering space this summer (2020).

My name is Sameer Sahai, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Washington. I am a graduating senior at Northeastern University working toward a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. I have more than a year's experience of substitute teaching for grades K-12, and I have taught in less formal settings as a camp counselor, a youth mentor, and a captain on sports teams. I find great joy in teaching and helping others, and I especially enjoy helping people with their writing skills or ACT/SAT prep. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in violin performance at the Juilliard School. The most fulfilling moments that I have with my students are when I see them applying previous lessons and skills to new challenges. My goal is always for my students to leave their sessions having learned something that will be useful for years to come, not just on the next test that they are preparing for. I'm a first-year med student at Pitt Med. I graduated from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts with a BS in Biology this past May. As much as I love medicine and the hard sciences, most of my tutoring experience is in general ACT prep, in addition to academic and creative writing, middle school math and reading, and high school and college math. Some of my favorite all-time classes were medical sociology in college and AP US Government and Politics in high school. Through Tufts, I taught English as a second language (3 semesters) and citizenship exam prep (1 semester) to Hispanic immigrants and refugees, which taught me a lot about how to gauge students' understanding, teach tough subjects, plan activities, provide flashcards and the best possible study materials, and make the most of the students' time. I love tutoring because I know how much a tutor's patience one-on-one can make the difference. I love sharing my study tips and test-taking strategies so they can study efficiently and make the best use of their time to get that desired result. I want students to feel heard and supported and help them find methods best suited to them. I want to help students enjoy learning and find more confidence in themselves through mastering tough subject matter.

Currently a second-year law student at the University of Chicago, Elena tackled the LSAT recently enough to remember exactly where the logic games and conditional reasoning trips people up. I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well.
