I earned my degree in business journalism and marketing from Baylor University, and I earned a master's from UNT in secondary education with an emphasis in English and ESOL. I have almost 34 years of teaching experience with students in grades 6-12 in a variety of subjects including English, Social Studies, Reading, Journalism, and Photography. I really teaching people how to take photographs, and I enjoy coaching and helping people take images, whether it be with a "fancy" camera or their camera phone. I believe people want to learn how to take photos, rather than learn how to excessively edit every single photo taken. I focus (forgive the pun) on how to control whatever device you use to take images. (I do spend time going over the basics - especially if my potential students are using cameras with manual controls.). I believe learning how the camera helps a photographer to stand out.
I also believe in a work flow when editing images.
Working smart will help one be efficient and have fun at the same time.
