I am a graduate of Southwest Baptist University, and I received my Bachelors Degree in Music with elective studies in Education and Theatre. Since graduation, I have gotten the opportunity to learn and work in a variety of jobs involving students and education. I worked at CALO, which specialized in helping pre-teens and teens with trauma and regulating their emotion. I was a substitute teacher, which gave me experience with K-12 students in a classroom setting. In addition, I have been a senior math tutor for over a year at other tutoring companies, which has greatly increased my skills in tutoring math one-on-one. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Math! It has always been my favorite subject to learn and teach because it is so universal and everyone can use it to some extent in their life. I always enjoy when a student develops a better understanding of math and seeing those dots connect. My teaching style is to always meet students where they are. I try to make it as personalized as I am able and to keep the student engaged. Moreover, I try to get to know my students and adapt the style to the type of student. It tends to yield the best results and increase understanding. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, running, performing in musicals, singing, playing video games, and watching anime/cartoons.
