I am a West Texas Aggie graduate! I received a bachelor degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Speech Performance in 2019. While earning my degree, I worked at our local community college tutoring students in a variety of entry level science courses: biology, anatomy/physiology, and chemistry. Though communication and science may not seem like they go together, tutoring is where I found my passion for education. I love learning - no matter the subject! And I am passionate about sharing knowledge in such a way that it clicks with students and helps them reach the next step toward their educational goals. I tutored for 3 years in the science department while earning my bachelor degree, and upon graduation I worked for a nonprofit organization (Buckner Family Pathways) helping single moms as they returned to school to get a college degree. I helped women in this program with essay writing and resume building, as well as professional development techniques. This is such an important skill for life!
