About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus on child and adolescent development. I have been tutoring students for over 10 years, the ages of the students ranging from kindergarten to college. Although I tutor a wide array of subjects and grade levels, I enjoy teaching middle school math, sciences, and history the most. I believe that learning should be fun, interesting, and relatable, and that if students are able to understand information as it relates to them in the real world they are more likely to grasp complex concepts. It is always exciting to watch a young student develop a love of learning or master a subject that they struggle with, and it feels very rewarding for the both of us when it finally "clicks"! During my free time I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, hiking, photography, playing tennis, and playing with my pets.
