Reading is hard for me, but I love to read. I like to read stories and books about all kinds of things. History and mysteries are my favorite. I have an extensive digital library of books on the Founding Fathers, the American Revolution and the American Civil War. I believe that often, the most interesting and perhaps important aspects of our history are left out of our history textbooks. Growing up on a working farm, the outdoors was a big part of my life. I had set chores or responsibilities from a young age. I spent most of my spare time hunting and fishing with my dad or my best friend. My BA degree is in field biology. I like different sports and have played and/or coached some of them. Where I grew up, most middle/junior high schools played baseball in both the fall and the spring. Few of them offered football. At my school allmost everyone (boys and girls) played baseball at recess and during lunch break. All of my friends watched baseball on TV on Saturday and we listened to radio broadcasts of our favorite teams' games. I enjoy photography and have done my own darkroom work. Unfortunately, it is a pass time I no longer have the opportunity to follow. My wife and I have two children and two grandchildren and we enjoy spending time with them. We also have a nine month old puppy. Much of my time is spent training her and playing with her.
