Although I retired after 30 years in education, I have never lost my passion for teaching and helping children learn. My greatest moment has been through virtual teaching; although challenging, it gave me the opportunity to expand my capacity.
I am very passionate about unlocking potential through foundational principles and applicable strategies. Whether it is teaching comprehension strategies, writing, or grammar skills, I believe students can grasp concepts with patience and an understanding of how they learn.
I am well qualified with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mississippi Valley State University and a Masters in Education in Curriculum Development from Union University. By combining my educational background with my field experience in the classroom, students will receive the highest results of academic success.

Because I love learning, I spend most of my time reading and discovering new ways to make life better. In the past few years, I have completed Mission work in a small village in Mexico by teaching children, doing outreach, and helping build a school. In addition to spending time with my children and my dog, I love traveling, writing, and amusement parks.
