I am a graduate of The Ohio State University. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, a Bachelor of Arts in German and a minor in Spanish. I went on to complete a year of my Master's in Germanic Languages and Literatures. I later completed my teaching licensure at Ohio Northern University. Since graduation, I have traveled to Germany on various occasions to work or study. In the past few years, I've covered multiple maternity leaves for my local high school, teaching German 1-AP and subbing for Spanish as well, while working at our local YMCA. I also work as an online ESL instructor, teaching students ages 4-16, one-on-one. I currently teach German and Spanish online privately, to local students in my area. I enjoy preparing lessons with a holistic approach and an emphasis on learning by doing. For example, I enjoy playing songs on my ukulele in class and doing step-by-step drawing activities or games, if there is spare time. Learning shouldn't feel like work all the time. It should be seen as a hobby, not drudgery. I conduct my classroom, online or in person, with this goal in mind.
