I graduated in 2018 from the University of North Carolina Wilmington Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in International Business and a minor in French.

Concerning my minor, my love of French and my knowledge of the language is reflected in my 4.0 Minor GPA. Besides my exposure to French in class, I participated in many extracurricular activities pertaining to French and Francophone culture. To start, I interned at a veterinary clinic in France, and I also interned at a local non-profit, working with French-speaking refugees. Additionally, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Morocco, which furthered my exposure to the French language and showed me the richness of Franco-Arab culture firsthand. Moreover, I come from a French-speaking background and have been speaking the language my whole life. Also, I have visited my European family in France and Belgium multiple times, giving me more experience with the language and culture.

In regards to tutoring, throughout my undergraduate education, I worked as a French tutor on campus, where I was certified as an Advanced Tutor through The College Reading and Learning Association. In this position, I was not only expected to help students understand French language and culture, but I was also tasked with instilling effective studying skills and habits in each individual based on his/her specific learning style.

Other than the qualifications that I have mentioned above, I believe that I am a valuable French tutor, because I genuinely love helping people learn! It is a rewarding experience to guide someone to a deeper understanding of a challenging subject, and I try my hardest to ensure my French learners leave their tutoring sessions feeling more confident about their language skills.

Concerning my future goals, I was recently accepted into UNC Chapel Hill's PhD program in French and Francophone Studies, where I will be a Teaching Fellow on campus for the next 5 years.
